The Executive Board is responsible for all administrative matters and the management of the Institute.  We have the ambition to be among the leading FOSS institutes in Free and Open Source science and technology. With an open eye for developments in the world around us, we aim to be an internationally defining institution that pushes the frontiers of Free and Open Source science and technology and educates software engineers of the future who combine in-depth knowledge about technology with the skills to address challenges out in the world.

 Erik Mols 

President, CEO and Founder

Has a background in IT and Biology, with 20 years of experience teaching software engineering, databases, data science, and AI. He previously developed IT curricula for private universities and founded OS-Sci after recognizing the lack of FOSS focus in traditional IT education.

 Richard Varghese

Vice President & COO 

An Open Source Evangelist with a background in Strategic IT Leadership & Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Global Outsourcing & Strategic Partnership Development. He has held similar roles at CIT, Canna, Coca-Cola, and Onestein. 

 Devaki Sahasrabudhe

Chief Outreach & Partnerships Officer (COPO) 

A results-oriented entrepreneur with 19 years of experience in EdTech, Learning and Development, Sales Excellence, training, and education. She is skilled in crafting competency roadmaps to enhance skills and performance across teams.

 Jeroen Baten

CoFounder, Board Member 

Has been active in FOSS since 1998, is the author of 12 books on the subject, a former columnist, and continues to be passionate about open source, frequently speaking about its cultural and technical challenges.

 Anushka Das

​Opensource Program Officer

Anushka is a seasoned professional with 18 years’ experience, skilled in Employee Experience, Program & Change Management, and DEIB. A certified Lead Auditor, she balances people and business needs while contributing through CSR initiatives.

 Egische Kazarian

Chief Marketing Officer 

Growth Marketer with 15 years’ experience in Digital Marketing and a background in Social and Organisational Psychology. Spent a decade driving success in IT education. Former Head of Marketing at the largest private IT educator in the Netherlands.

 Satyakam Goswami

Professor of Practice 

With 30+ years of experience, he specializes in technology consulting, open source, and community building across Linux, Python, AI, Kubernetes, and DevOps. He has worked with organizations including Red Hat, Cadence, and IIIT, organized PyDelhi since 2011, supported FOSS initiatives such as PyCon India, and trained over 50,000 engineers.

Avinash Kumar

Open Source Faculty 

Mobile & Web Developer with 2+ years of experience building cross-platform applications and web solutions using open-source technologies.
