At OS-SCi, we do things differently. We believe learning thrives through a blend of instruction and hands-on practice. Our teachers act as study coaches, mentoring students, solving problems, and fostering a deep understanding of Free and Open Source Technologies (FOSS). If you're ready to move beyond traditional lecturing and become a true guide for aspiring Linux professionals, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do

- Facilitate a practical learning environment where students can experiment and build confidence.
- Assess student progress through practical assignments and provide constructive feedback.
- Champion the FOSS philosophy, inspiring students with the power of open-source technology.
What We're Looking For
- Proven expertise in Linux environments, including command line proficiency, system administration, and shell scripting.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching in a technical field. You excel at making complex topics understandable.
- A strong alignment with our educational philosophy: You believe in guiding students rather than just lecturing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as a freelance contractor.
Bonus Points For:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, LPIC-1, or RHCSA.
- Experience with various Linux distributions (e.g., Debian, Red Hat, Arch).
- Contributions to open-source projects.
Why Join OS-SCi?
- Make a Real Impact: Play a crucial role in shaping the careers of future tech professionals.
- Flexible Collaboration: Enjoy the freedom and flexibility of a freelance contract.
- A Unique Approach: Be part of an educational model that prioritizes student-centered coaching and practical skills over rote memorization.
